I had two open visions of heaven, one at church and another at a cross street in my home town. I saw the clouds go vertical as an open portal into heaven. I combined the two visions in this painting. In the first vision I saw vivid colors strewn through the vertical clouds as if ribbons were woven in the clouds. The second vision had the same vertical clouds with bright, little silver boxes and trailing streamers behind.
I inquired of the Lord, “What is that, Father?”
His answer was, “These are the gifts I am dropping in this region.”
I realized the trailing streamers were not attached, symbolic of how His gifts of love have no strings attached; they are unconditional. According to Dr. Barbie Breathitt Dream Symbology book:
Silver represents the price or atonement for the soul’s redemption through Jesus Christ our Redeemer. Righteousness; money of exchange; dross being purified in the refiner’s fire, God’s image reflected; wealth;
It is also described by others to be a subtle strength that is flexible enough to be molded into something better, yet strong enough to keep the integrity of its core.
I believe this is in relation to the Lord dropping the gifts in the earth to lead in a subtle but strong way.
I later envisioned what it looks like to move from glory to glory as we press in closer to the Father’s heart through His Son Jesus. As the woman in the picture bows down in wor-ship, her faith becomes more childlike the closer she draws to the embrace of Jesus. The an-gelic host is warring on our behalf as we enter into worship. It is the front and rear guard, fighting the enemy in every way that keeps us from experiencing the authentic love of God, whether it is in the political spirit of the Pharisee in the earth or the domineering control of doctrinal religion in the church. The scripture speaks to the cloud of witnesses and the angels as they are cheering us on to move past the strongholds of offense and unforgiveness and to enter His courts with praise. Our greatest battle tactic against the enemy is when we set our hearts to worship God. I believe heaven is moved by the heart of worship. I believe the an-gels are set in motion to work on our behalf. God is looking to and fro.
“The Lord looks down from heaven on all mankind to see if there are any who are wise and want to please God.” (Psalm 14:2)
“God looks down from heaven, searching among all mankind
to see if there is a single one who does right and really seeks
after God.” Psalm 53:2
I felt this poem was in line with this painting, as it is only in sonship that we began to learn what it is to be Christ-like on earth as He is heaven.
“True Sonship”
As sons of God we know our place,
We walk in authority despite the fears we face.
The keys to our problems we are given
As we step in stride of righteous livin’.
Only as sons do we live life well,
Orphans scramble to ring the bell.
The orphan screams for attention to be paid,
If only he could see the path is already laid.
Our Father in Heaven desires to restore us now,
So we live this life well, fear never to bow.
Lovingly He coaxes us in to see,
Lining us up for our destiny.
Live strong, dear one,
Know your walk is not alone.
You are designed to reign in my Kingship,
Not slave, not orphan, but in sonship.
Love and reign well in power of grace,
Look into His wonderful face.
Drink in the Spirit of the Most High,
Until the day of His return draws nigh.
