I started this painting in an obedient response to paint. I realized the obedience of my own heart brings the deliverance of my very soul. I can’t walk in the freedom of God if I don’t submit the freedom of my will. It is in the bowing of my knee, the surrender of my way to the Father’s way, that I can break the bondage of the enemy. As I painted I began to feel the royalty of God’s presence in the purple colors.
A truly surrendered heart gives the Lord room to work so He can chisel our soul, our body, and our spirit into the image of His Son. It is only in complete surrender that we can hold complete peace. One act of obedience opens the gate to a host of blessings. It truly breaks the dam that holds the hand of God’s blessings from our life. The curtain is opened to see God’s handwritten secrets in heaven. As I finished this painting the Lord prompted my heart with these words:
The presence of God inhabits the praises of His people. Once
we realize the great measure of love He has for each one of us,
freedom is released and healing comes forth. Our praise raises
our faith, and our faith releases the healing rain. I imagined healing
rain would be purple rain, the royalty of God reigning down.
