Without hope, the people perish.
“Where there is no vision, the people perish; but he that kept the law, happy is he. We must have hope to have faith for without hope the heart is deferred.” Proverbs 29:18
“Hope deferred makes the heart sick,
but a dream fulfilled is a tree of life.” Proverbs 13:12
I saw this vision at a time when I thought there was no hope. I reached out to God one more time, and I saw Jesus in the clouds with the doves flying all around Him. I knew then everything would be all right, and I had hope once again. As I was finishing the painting, I felt God’s gentle nudging to paint the word hope. At first, I did not want to do it, but now I know it is the key to our faith. The mural hangs at The House of Hope Restoration Center in Madisonville Texas.
