I painted these trees in a very dim light in a church service in Austin, Texas at Rick Pino’s “David’s Heart Conference.” I knew I wanted to see the brilliance of the colors as I have grown to love the vibrancy of different hues bouncing off each other. I feel that is in response to all the colorful souls that desire to be in concert with one another, working to become a unified body of believers. The three trees give reference to the Trinity: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. The colors behind the trees provide the backdrop for the Lord to move us all into a place of harmony, making way for a unified setting that establishes His love in the earth. We will be known by our love for one another. The light we carry will be dim until it is given new life through the glory of God, and that glory shines down to illuminate the darkness, pushing it to the far recesses of the earth.
